This Paige is in overall good condition and has the classic prewar
style that collectors love! Paige-Detroit Motor Car Company,
founded in 1908, built a reputation for producing reliable,
mid-to-high grade automobiles during the Brass Era, with a focus on
smooth-running six-cylinder engines. By 1916, Paige marketed its
cars under the slogan The Most Beautiful Car in America,
emphasizing both engineering and presentation as key selling
points. The Ardmore Roadster was part of Paiges 1916 lineup,
offering an open, driver-focused configuration built on the
companys six-cylinder platform. The exterior of the Paige is a
lovely light grey and green two tone that is in overall great
condition with some rock chips consistent with age and use. The
roadster has headlights, chrome bumpers, fold down windscreen,
green-accented white wood artillery wheels, a passenger-side
luggage rack, and a spare tire compartment. The Paige has a folding
windshield and black soft top to complete the roadster
configuration. The Paige is a lovely example that maintains its
Brass Era presentation! The interior of the Paige is in overall
good condition, featuring a black leather tufted bench seat,
matching light grey painted dash and green metal floorboards. The
wood steering wheel with metal spokes has a hand throttle and spark
advance. Instrumentation includes Paige-branded fuel and amperage
gauges, a Stewart speedometer/odometer, and an oil pressure gauge.
The Paige has a rearview mirror and there is a storage compartment
behind the seat. Mechanically, the Paige is powered by its inline
six-cylinder engine equipped with a downdraft carburetor and three
speed manual transmission. The Paige has a floor starter, magneto
ignition system, drum brakes, leaf spring suspension, and 6V
battery. The Paige has wood artillery wheels with demountable rims,
bias ply touring tires and Paige-branded hub caps. The Paige
