Up for sale is this solid and straight Dodge D150 Short Box. Equipped with the 3.9 liter TBI V6 and 5 speed manual. Engine starts and runs well with no issues, and the transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears. Clutch engagement is smooth, with no slipping or shuddering. Steering is tight and the brakes work well.
Frame and suspension are both in excellent condition, with no evidence of rust or collision damage. Cab corners and body mounts are solid. Body is straight overall, with a few minor dents and dings. No rust in the wheel lips or rockers. Paint is in good condition as well.
There is rust in the driver's side floor pan, which will likely need to be replaced. The other significant bodywork issue is on the leading edge of the roof on the passenger side. The outer panel has rusted through in one area, which will require repairing. I have close up photos of the damaged areas that I can provide upon request.
The interior condition is decent, with no cracks in the dash or door panels. Seat is in fair shape, with some wear on the edge of the driver's side cushion.
Overall, this is a good solid truck that could be driven as is, or the basis for a custom or restomod build.
