1940 Ford Tudor Sedan - All-Steel Street Rod - 355 V8 - A/C - 34K

Offered here is a beautifully built 1940 Ford Tudor Sedan that
combines timeless pre-war styling with dependable modern
performance and comfort. Finished in a slick hand-rubbed black
lacquer paint, this all-steel Ford has never rusted and has been
thoughtfully built into a high-quality street rod that's ready to
be driven and enjoyed. The stainless trim has been retained while
the door handles, trunk handle, and wipers have been tastefully
blacked out, giving the car a clean, streamlined appearance.
Power comes from a freshly rebuilt 355ci Chevrolet V8 featuring TRW
pistons, Federal-Mogul bearings, a high-volume oil pump, an RV
camshaft, Hooker block hugger headers, an Edelbrock Performer II
intake manifold, and a Holley 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor.
Ignition is handled by a point distributor with a performance curve
kit and Mallory components, along with 8mm ignition wires. The
engine is backed by a dependable Turbo 350 automatic transmission,
making this Ford an excellent cruiser with plenty of power on
tap.
The chassis has been extensively upgraded for improved handling and
drivability. It features an 8-inch Ford Maverick rear axle with
Progressive slider parallel leaf springs, a Progressive front
suspension with a Mustang II-style crossmember, power steering,
power brakes, and staggered polished American Racing Torque
Thrust-style wheels wrapped in raised white letter radial tires
that give the car the perfect hot rod stance.
Inside, the custom soft red leather interior is beautifully
finished and complements the black exterior perfectly. The dash and
garnish moldings have been color matched to the upholstery, while
aluminum dash inserts house a full set of VDO gauges for accurate
monitoring. Additional interior upgrades include power windows, a
power driver's seat with lumbar and thigh support adjustments, a
Chevrolet tilt steering column fitted with a Lecarra
leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum brake and accelerator
pedals, and a modern audio system for added convenience.
Comfort wasn't overlooked during the build either. This Tudor is
equipped with modern air conditioning utilizing a Sanyo 510
compressor, hot heat with defrosters, an under-seat heater, a
Walker Coolmate aluminum radiator with a 17-inch fan, a Ron Francis
wiring harness, and a 20-gallon fuel tank, making it a dependable
cruiser capable of long-distance driving.
Showing just 34,000 miles since the build, this 1940 Ford Tudor
