The first-year 911 SC Coupe with only two owners. Presented in its
original color combination of Chiffon White over Cashmere
upholstery. Factory options include an electric sunroof, U.S.
standard emissions, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM
radio.
The paintwork is original and in beautiful condition with excellent
gaps and panel alignment. The exterior is complemented by fog
lights and 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels. The original interior is
exceptional, featuring Cashmere upholstery, a leather-wrapped
steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.
The Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with BF Goodrich Advantage
Control 205 55R16 front and 255 50R16 rear tires. The undercarriage
remains in exceptional condition, well-preserved, solid, rust-free,
and retains the original cosmoline.
According to the original Warranty & Service booklet, this 911 SC
was sold new by Anderson/Behel Porsche Audi of Santa Clara,
California, on April 28, 1978, to Emperor Norton's Pizza of San
Jose, California. Dealer service stamps document maintenance from
new through 1983, when the 911 had 27,276 miles. A 1979 letter from
Porsche on file lists the second owner and references emissions
warranty-related claims, further supporting the 911's early
history. Subsequent records show continued care by Porsche
independent specialists in Tucson, Arizona, with receipts dating
from 1996 to the present. On October 31, 2022, at 78,209 miles,
Group One Motorwerks performed an oil and filter service, replaced
the oil supply line, valve cover gaskets, CV boots, fuel lines, and
installed a late-style fuel pump. On March 10, 2026, at 79,344
miles, Autohaus in Tucson, Arizona, performed an oil and filter
service. Recent work by European Collectibles included
air-conditioning service, conversion to R134a, and a new dryer; the
system now blows ice-cold. General service and inspection; wheels
were restored; sunroof serviced.
Mechanically powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six engine (Type 930/04),
producing 180 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 175 lb-ft of torque at
4,200 rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission (Type 915)
with four-wheel disc brakes. Complete with two keys, owner's
manual, Warranty & Service booklet, spare wheel, jack, toolkit, and
service records. This Chiffon White 911 SC Coupe is an amazing
preservation-class example, well-documented, and a first-year 911
SC.
