Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this
1968 Chevrolet Camaro, a beautifully built first-generation Camaro
finished in a striking blue and white exterior with a black leather
interior. With its classic body lines, bold stripe combination, and
show-stopping stance, this Camaro brings vintage muscle car style
together with a serious list of modern performance and comfort
upgrades.
This Camaro underwent a major build in 2019, with the majority of
the work performed by Martin Brothers Customs of Iron Resurrection
fame. The exterior is noted as being finished in Lexus Black
Sapphire with painted white racing stripes, giving the car a deep,
glossy appearance that highlights the iconic 1968 Camaro shape. The
build sheet also notes fewer than 3,500 miles driven since the
restoration, adding to the appeal of this carefully upgraded
classic.
Under the hood is a 5.3L LS V8 engine equipped with FiTech fuel
injection, high-performance rocker arm assemblies, and ported and
polished heads. Paired with an upgraded 4L60E automatic
transmission, this Camaro offers modern drivability with the power
and reliability expected from an LS-powered build. A MagnaFlow full
2.5-inch dual exhaust system with stainless steel headers gives the
car a deep, muscular sound that fits its appearance.
The chassis and suspension received major attention as well. The
build includes a CPP Stage 3 Pro-Touring front end with upgraded
A-arms, spindles, rotors, and stabilizer components, along with
Detroit Speed mini-tubs and a Detroit Speed Quadra-Link rear
suspension. A Speedway custom narrowed 9-inch rear end, EFI fuel
tank setup, custom performance driveshaft, powder-coated frame
components, and power disc brakes add to the well-rounded
performance build. The Camaro rides on Billet Specialties Hydro
wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Nero 18-inch tires, giving it a
planted stance and a clean pro-touring look.
Inside, the black leather interior offers a sharp blend of classic
Camaro style and modern comfort. The cabin features black bucket
seats, a center console with the iconic horseshoe shifter, Dakota
Digital gauges, RetroSound Bluetooth stereo, Kicker custom speaker
and amp setup, power door locks, and a security system. Additional
interior upgrades include a Billet Specialties Tec 5 steering
wheel, Ididit tilt steering column, Lokar pedals, custom-made
trunk, new dash pad, headliner, dome light, carpet, and Tuxedo
black upholstery.
With its LS V8 power, upgraded 4L60E automatic transmission, FiTech
fuel injection, Detroit Speed suspension components, narrowed
9-inch rear end, 4-wheel disc brakes, Billet Specialties wheels,
Pirelli tires, Dakota Digital gauges, RetroSound Bluetooth, and
documented build sheet, this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is a
well-executed pro-touring classic built to be seen, driven, and
enjoyed.
