Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to digitally present
this beautiful 1973 Dodge Challenger, finished in an electrifying
Sub-Lime Green exterior that demands attention at every turn. The
black vinyl interior wraps you in classic muscle car style, with
seatbelts and air conditioning ensuring comfort and safety for your
cruise. As you grip the wheel and fire up the 440 V8 engine,
originally from a 1968 Dodge Charger RT, you'll feel the rumble of
power that's been enhanced with JE custom forged 10.5-1 pistons,
440 Richard Petty Nascar rods, a dual-pattern billet camshaft, Isky
rockers, and custom 3/8" chromoly pushrods. This Challenger is
built to deliver an unforgettable driving experience.
The drivetrain is paired with a 727 Hemi 3-speed transmission
featuring 9 clutch discs, offering smooth and responsive shifts as
you accelerate down the road. The fuel system has been upgraded
with a 440 Torquer aluminum manifold, a new Holley 850 CFM
carburetor, and an Edelbrock air cleaner housing and filter,
ensuring optimal performance. The exhaust note is pure muscle,
thanks to original 1974 appliance 4-bolt headers that have been
blasted and ceramic coated, dual 3-inch stainless-steel tubing, and
turbo mufflers. Every press of the gas pedal unleashes a symphony
of power and precision.
Handling is a breeze with power steering and a rebuilt 3 1/2 ratio
gearbox, while power brakes with front discs and rebuilt calipers
provide confident stopping power. The rear features original
10-inch drums, maintaining the car's authentic feel. Radial tires
keep you connected to the road, and the polished stainless-steel
moldings and original body sheet metal showcase the car's timeless
design. The 11-month restoration has brought this Challenger back
to life, preserving its heritage while enhancing its
performance.
Whether you're cruising through town or taking it out for a weekend
drive, this Dodge Challenger delivers a blend of raw power and
refined comfort.
