Up for sale is my 1976 Ford Maverick. It has a 302 engine with a 4-speed Ford Toploader transmission.
Drivetrain: The engine is newly built and has 21 miles on it, so still in the break in period. Everything is new, connecting rods, lifters, pistons, etc… The only thing that I used from the original motor is the block, crank, and heads. New intake, distributor, Edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke, valve covers, air cleaner, water pump, oil pan, aluminum pulleys, harmonic balancer. Engine tuned by Alamo Speedshop. Ford toploader 4-speed transmission with new Hurst shifter ($1,100), new OEM clutch. Transmission and clutch installed and set by Winner’s Circle transmissions. Ford 8.5” rear end.
Electrical & Cooling: New aluminum radiator, new electric fan and relay kit, new alternator. New fuse box and wiring.
Suspension: New Calvert Racing rear suspension kit and shocks. New front springs and shocks.
Exhaust: New Flowmaster mufflers , new Hedman headers, with 2.5” exhaust pipes.
Wheels and tires: New Mustang wheels and new General Altimax tires (have 21 miles on them).
Interior: New carpet, new dash pad, new under dash gauge kit, new steering wheel, new door panels, new seat upholstery, new shifter boot, Pioneer head unit with Kenwood amp, JBL 6x9’s and Punch 8” sub all mounted in the rear package tray.
The paint is in good condition, about a 7/10 in my opinion. Nice and shiny, but has some imperfections here and there.
Also includes a Power Steering Kit ($960) that I have not installed, as I don’t think it really needs it and I’ve held on to the kit beyond the return period.
This Maverick does not have AC nor a heater.
I have $24,700 in receipts, not counting the 100+ hours of labor that I’ve invested in building out this Maverick. Selling well below what I have invested.
