This 1977 Ford F150 Short-Box Ranger is a really cool truck that
you don't see with this configuration very often. It is a 4WD with
the 300 Inline 6 and 4 Speed Manual transmission. This is a pretty
original, solid, and clean daily driver quality short box that is
priced affordably. The last owner actually used this truck like a
daily driver in Oregon for the last few years. The body is clean
and solid. It was originally Black from the factory but was painted
Green Metallic at some point. The paint is a nice driver quality
paint that looks good but it is not perfect with minor
imperfections here and there. It does have the Ranger Trim Package
and the bed was RhinoLined. The underside is clean and solid but it
is original and unrestored. The floorpans were replaced on both
sides beacuse of soft metal and they were welded in and they did an
excellent job.
The interior is also in nice condition. It has a bench seat from a
newer era Ford that is more comfy. It also has newer carpet, new
headliner, newer steering wheel, new door panels, and new dash
trim. The dash is original and still in great shape. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. the gauges all work. The horn, heat, and windshield wipers
are also working.
Mechanically this truck is great! It starts easy and runs and
drives great. It is pretty much all stock and it still has the 4.9L
300 Inline 6 that it came from the factory with. We were told it
was rebuilt around 25,000 miles ago in 2018 by S & J Engines (Have
Receipt). They added an Offenhauser aluminum intake and a Holley 4
Barrel carb at that time. The engine runs strong and smooth with no
issues or red flags that we found. It has the np435 4 Speed Manual
Transmission that shifts great with a strong clutch. It is mated to
the np205 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear
axle is a Ford 9 Inch with 3.50 gears. The front axle is a Dana 44
with 3.50 gears. It has a newer 4 Inch lift installed and to fit
the 33 Inch Mud terrain tires on nice aftermarket aluminum
wheels.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
