ConditioningWhile the badges were added by a previous owner are a
nod to the JDM RX-7, the Savanna was produced exclusively for the
Japanese market, the name intending to evoke the power of the first
nuclear-powered ship in the world. Stunningly retro and lightly
modified, this Mazda is a time capsule of the eighties. With a
fastback roof line and glass hatch, and a sunroof, this sleek and
lightweight sports car is powered with a 12A Wankel rotary
engine.Painted in a Renaissance Red Metallic (Color Code N7938) and
black two-tone, this Mazda certainly has a theme going ? and that
theme is 'red.'The interior seats are upholstered in red, and the
floor is carpeted red, door panels are red, with additional
carpeted floor mats in the footwells - also red. The red and brown
vinyl door cards are partially carpeted, with pockets for
additional storage. A cubby sits between the two front seats,
doubling as an armrest, and there's storage cubbies behind the
seats. The modernized radio includes 2 USB ports, an auxiliary
plug-in, and an AM/FM Radio as well as the original 12v power
outlet and the ash tray. One of the more specific upgrades bestowed
by a previous owner is the CS-XE Mirage air freshener, nestled on
the dashboard, another nod to JDM custom culture. The sky-high
8,000rpm tachometer is flanked with temperature, fuel, and oil
gauges. The analog clock hides unobtrusively under the radio, while
the power window and pop-up headlamp controls are nestled in the
center console. Overhead, a console houses the dome light
switches.Car Cave's shop team went through this Mazda and performed
general maintenance, including recharging the AC system, replacing
windshield wiper blades, and flushing the transmission and
differential fluid. For our full service records, give us a call at
