2007 Ford Mustang Roush 427R For SaleThis 2007 Ford Mustang Roush
427R, serial number 07-020, is a documented Stage 3 Roush build
with a provenance file most of these cars cannot match. Its
original Ford window sticker lists the buyer as Roush Industries of
Livonia, Michigan, confirming the car was sold new directly to
Roush, where it served as a press and review vehicle. It was driven
and written up by Motor Trend, MotorWeek, and 5.0 Magazine, with
the articles calling out this specific car by serial number,
including a Motor Trend photo showing its Roush ID plate. The
original owner bought it directly from Roush headquarters, and the
sale includes both window stickers, the magazines themselves, and a
framed photo of Jack Roush signing under the hood. Showing 28,000
miles and garage kept throughout, it is the rare 427R that arrives
fully documented. What sets this example apart is how its engine
evolved, with the work carried out through Roush itself. It began
as the 427R's Roushcharged 4.6L 3-valve V-8, originally rated at
427 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. The original owner first
fitted a smaller pulley and had the car re-tuned by Roush, then,
when Roush released its P-51 program, brought the car back for the
full upgrade: P-51 forged internals and short block paired with the
Roush 2300 supercharger. The result is a Roush-built bottom end and
blower combination well beyond the car's original output,
delivering power through the factory 5-speed manual fitted with the
Roush black-knob short-throw shift kit.The chassis carries the
complete 427R hardware: the Roush suspension system with front
struts, rear shocks, springs, and sway bars, the documented 14-inch
front brake upgrade, and 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS behind red
calipers. Polished 5-spoke Roush alloy wheels wear new BFGoodrich
g-Force tires. The Redfire exterior is finished with Silver accent
stripes, the Roush Aerobody front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop
and rear wing, rear quarter window louvers, smoked tail lights, and
smoked third brake light, the latter documented by receipt.Inside,
red and black leather bucket seats anchor a cabin fitted with
A-pillar gauges with Raptor Claw mounts, the Roush white-face gauge
cluster, billet aluminum pedals, embroidered Roush floor mats, and
a JL Audio sound system. The Roush signature appears on the airbag
and under the hood, and the car carries its Roush Stage 3 serial
badge.Between the sold-to-Roush documentation, the national-press
history naming this specific car, and an engine built up through
Roush with P-51 internals and the 2300 supercharger, this 427R
stands as one of the most thoroughly documented and seriously
developed examples of Roush's flagship supercharged Mustang.NFI
