1966 Austin-Healey Sprite Custom Roadster
Small in size but loaded with personality, this 1966 Austin-Healey Sprite has been transformed into a distinctive British hot rod with a purposeful, stripped-down sports-racer appearance.
Finished in bright red over a minimalist brown interior, the Sprite features extensive custom bodywork, including a de-bumpered and de-badged exterior, smoothed front body seams, rounded and flared rear wheel arches, widened rear wheels and a lowered stance. A cut-down windscreen and filled door openings complete the car’s vintage competition-inspired profile.
Power comes from a recently serviced 1,098cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. A Supertrapp exhaust gives the lightweight roadster a distinctive sound, while its compact dimensions and low curb weight deliver the responsive, engaging driving experience that made the Sprite famous.
Inside, Porsche 914 fiberglass seats, brown vinyl trim and a handcrafted wood dashboard create a simple, driver-focused cockpit. The electrical system has also been completely rewired, improving usability and reliability while preserving the car’s raw, character-filled driving experience.
With 68,148 miles indicated, this Sprite is not presented as a factory-correct restoration. It is a thoughtfully modified, fully sorted custom built for someone who values individuality and the experience of driving something unlike anything else on the road.
Equally at home on a winding back road, outside a local coffee shop or displayed at a weekend car show, this Austin-Healey offers approachable vintage motoring with unmistakable personality.
