This 1971 Ford F250 Custom is a Camper Special that spent its life
in the Pacific NW. This is a very clean and nicely optioned truck
with an upgraded engine, power steering, and power front disc
brakes. The body is super clean and straight. The original colors
were Bahama Blue with a White top, but it was repainted at some
point in the color of Dark Blue Metallic. The paint still looks
great! The original chrome and trim on the truck is still in nice
condition. The inside of the truck bed is very very nice and saw
very little use over the years based on the condition. The
underside of the truck is exceptionally clean for an unrestored
vehicle and we found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is also nice. It has a newly reupholstered front bench
seat, new carpet, new dash cover, and an aftermarket steering
wheel. The headliner, door panels, and dash bezel are original and
nice. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are
all working. The gauges all work. The horn, heat, and windshield
wipers re all working. This truck had dealer installed AC at some
point but ist is missing the compressor, hoses, and condenser.
Mechanically this truck is great and it runs and drives excellent.
It originally came from the factory with a 360 V8 but is was
replaced at some point with a 6.4L 390 V8 that was rebuilt with a
Holley 4 Barrel Carb. It was a mild build with ported heads, a mild
cam, and dual Flowmaster exhaust. When it was rebuilt they replaced
the starter and added electronic ignition. It also received a new
alternator, new belts and hoses, new radiator, and new thermostat.
The engine runs strong with no issues or red flags that we found.
It has the C6 Automatic transmission that shifts great. It has the
Dana 60 rear end with 3.73 gears. It is sitting on some nice
aftermarket chrome wheels with a nice set of All terrain tires size
245/75/16.
