This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Collector Series is an
incredibly well-preserved, low-mileage example of luxury automotive
history. Showing just 29,554 original miles, this special edition
Lincoln is an absolute time capsule. Manufactured by Ford Motor
Company in January 1979 (01-79), this vehicle was configured as a
top-of-the-line Passenger Coupe (65D) and stands as a remarkably
complete survivor from the pinnacle of late-70s American
luxury.

Body, Paint & Structural Condition
The structural integrity of this massive American cruiser is
spectacular. There is absolutely no structural rust or sign of body
filler anywhere that we can detect on the vehicle, and the
underbody remains remarkably clean. Our digital paint gauge
confirms that the deep Midnight Blue Metallic finish is entirely
original factory paint. Because it is the original finish from
1979, it exhibits some completely honest, minor character
blemishes, including standard road rock chips, areas of light
factory paint checking, and a couple of spots near the trunk lid
where the clear coat has baked out and become dull over time. The
matching Valino grain vinyl roof remains beautifully preserved. The
car sits straight, retains excellent glass and brightwork, and
rides on tires that remain in good shape.
Modern Performance Upgrade & Mechanicals
While the engine bay houses the car's original, numbers-matching
400 cubic inch V8 engine, it has been modernly enhanced for maximum
turn-key reliability. The restrictive factory carburetor setup has
been upgraded with a self-tuning Holley Sniper Electronic Fuel
Injection (EFI) system. The Sniper system is fully adjustable via
its handheld controller, allowing the car to fire up with total
ease, warm up instantly, and run beautifully with modern
drivability. Power is sent cleanly through the robust C6 automatic
transmission, which shifts exactly as it should. Out on the open
road, this Mark V delivers a cloud-like ride, tracking smoothly,
cornering evenly, and coming to a stop nice and straight. Please
note that while the factory air conditioning system is fully intact
and operational, it is currently not blowing cold.
Interior Luxury & Functionality
The Midnight Blue luxury cabin is in amazing condition
throughout-presenting even nicer than the low mileage would
suggest. The plush seating surfaces, door panels, headliner, and
deep-pile carpeting show virtually zero wear. The interior is
completely smoke-free with no unwanted smells or signs of past
smoking inside. All power accessories function exactly as
originally intended, including the power windows, power seats,
gauges, and factory electronics. This rare Collector Series is a
turn-key, heavily optioned cruiser that is fully dialed in for the
street or the local show circuit.
