Cruisin Classics is excited to present to you this numbers-matching
1969 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe. When this car originally rolled
off the line in Lansing, it wore Crimson paint with a black vinyl
top (52B), but its beauty comes to us today dressed in a fresh coat
of Nassau Blue with a newer black vinyl top. The new paint job is
stunning, slick, and glossy - a perfect backdrop for all of the
gleaming brightwork. The front view features a sporty dual-bulge
hood with bright vents, a black grille split by a hood tooth
wearing a "442" badge, dual side-by-side headlights, and a chrome
front bumper with integrated turn signal lights. Chrome fender trim
runs from the headlights along the upper body line back to the
B-pillar where it joins the window trim. Brightwork abounds, with
wheel lip molding, rear hood molding, windshield and window trim,
drip rail molding, vinyl top surround, dual side mirrors, door
handles, and "442" fender badging. The vinyl top has been recently
replaced (2021), and it is in fantastic condition. At the back of
the rear quarters are Oldsmobile rocket logo running lights that
add to the cool factor. The cherry on top of the side view are
chrome 15" Magnum 500 style wheels with Olds logo centercaps, all
wrapped in white-letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A's - a perfect choice
for this ride! Around back you'll find "Hurst Equipped" and "442"
decklid badging, a hidden gas fill behind the license plate, and a
442-specific bumper with cut-outs for the chrome trumpet exhaust
tips. Take a peek underneath to find a very clean undercarriage
with solid floorpans, newer exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, and
correct boxed rear trailing arms and rear sway bar.
Lift the hood to reveal a very tidy engine bay you'd be proud to
show off anywhere. At the heart is a numbers-matching Oldsmobile
400ci V8 dressed appropriately in "Olds gold" paint. Topping off
the stout V8 are an Edelbrock Performer Olds 455 intake, gold valve
covers, a Holley Sniper fuel injection system (an awesome
upgrade!), and an orange air cleaner with Oldsmobile 442 decal. At
the front of the engine you'll find a newer water pump (2021),
power steering, and a Sanden compressor for the Vintage Air system
(new in 2021). A new Champion radiator with dual electric fans has
been installed to keep this 442 running cool even in the summer
heat. The V8 is mated up to a numbers-matching 4-speed manual
transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a 12-bolt rear
axle with an upgraded aluminum W27 cover. Stopping power comes
courtesy of power front discs and rear drums.
Prepare to be impressed when you open the door of this 442. The
dome courtesy light and a red underdash light pop on immediately to
illuminate an exceptionally nice stock black vinyl interior. The
OEM-style door panels feature textured black vinyl that matches the
seats, an Olds Rocket logo, and electric window cranks - with a
gentle touch, they quickly operate the windows. There's also a
switch on the driver's side to operate the passenger window, a nice
extra! Both the front buckets and rear bench seats are covered in
flat black vinyl with patterned black vinyl inserts, and they're in
very good condition with no notable imperfections. Splitting the
front buckets is a chrome-trimmed center console that offers a
storage box and a shifter for the 4-speed manual. The Hurst 442
shifter rises from a black rubber boot and is topped off with a
black "442" logo knob. The shifter and ignition also feature a
working "reverse lock-out" function. Ahead of the driver is a
3-spoke steering wheel with wood trim and a working horn on a tilt
column. The dash ahead features a crack-free black vinyl padded
upper section with a woodgrain lower band. The gauge cluster
consists of three round gauges - a combo gauge with fuel, temp, and
oil, a 120mph speedometer, and a tachometer with a clock in the
center (clock is inop.). The odometer reads just 28,610 miles, and
the title claims those to be actual miles! Also on the dash are
controls for the working 2-speed wipers, an original-looking AM
transistor radio (inop.), and controls for the Vintage Air system
that delivers cold AC and hot heat on demand. Ahead of the
passenger is a glovebox with "Hurst Olds Equipped" and "442" badges
on the door. The glovebox has a working courtesy light and inside
is a hand-held controller for the Sniper EFI system. Overhead
you'll find a tight black vinyl headliner and shoulder safety
belts, while underfoot is nice black carpet and a full set of
carpeted "442" logo mats. The rear package tray is uncut and in
good condition. Around back in the trunk is a rubber mat, a full
spare and jack, a fiberglass air-induction cowl, a Ram-Rod Olds 400
air-induction unit, a chrome air cleaner, and a new set of
taillight lenses.
Whether you're looking specifically for a 442 or just a cool muscle
car from the 60's, you're going to want to take a serious look at
this '69 Olds! Fresh paint, gleaming brightwork, numbers-matching
engine and transmission, Sniper fuel injection, Vintage Air system,
power steering, power front disc brakes, electric window cranks,
and a great-looking interior - this ride really checks all the
boxes! This car is turnkey ready to hit the road today; all it
needs is a new owner in the driver's seat! Give our friendly staff
a call today - you don't want to miss out on this one!
