OF THE LAST BUILT 396 BB WITH A TURBO 400 AUTO CARS HAVING A EARLY
JULY 65' BUILD DATE. BUT IT IS NOT NUMBER MATCHING. NOW HAS A GOOD
RUNNING 350 WITH A SMALL LOPEY CAM, 4 BBL EDELBROCK AND ALUM.
INTAKE AND SOME GOOD SOUNDING EXHAUST. ALSO HAS THE 12 BOLT REAR
AND ITS LIKE A 3.00 NON POSI CONNECTED TO A 700R 4 SP AUTO. IT
SHOULD GET YOU GREAT GAS MILAGE WITH THAT SETUP. HAS POWER
STEERING. ALSO INCLUDING A 71' CHEVY 396 ENGINE BORED 40 WITH 72
HEADS AND A CRANK, (SEE PHOTOS AFTER TRUNK). IF BUYER DOESN'T WANT
396 ENGINE I WILL DEDUCT 500.00. I CAN SET CARD BOARD IN PASSENGER
FLOOR TO SET HEADS AND CRANK AND THE BLOCK IN TRUNK SHIMMED WITH
WOOD TO SHIP. IT HAS A GOOD STANCE. DRIVES STRAIGHT. SHIFTS GOOD.
STILL HAS DRUM BRAKES THAT I KNOW HAS NEWER REAR BRAKES AND LOOKS
LIKE FRONT TOO. STOPPING ISN'T GREAT BUT MOST WILL CHANGE TO DISC.
SURPRISED THATS NOT DONE YET. HAS LIKE NEW 15 INCH TIRES AND NICE

BOTTOM OF COWL TAG THE Z CODE TELLS IT CAME WITH A TURBO 400 AND
ONLY 409 0R 396 CARS HAD THAT TRANS. IN FEB. OF 1965 CHEVY STARTED
INSTALLING THE 396 IN THE IMPALA SS CARS. THAT ALL IS ONLINE WHEN
SEARCHING DECODE 65 IMPALA COWL TAG. AND THE 166 BODY DEFINES IT TO
BE AN SS. BODY - ITS IS A STRAIGHT BODY WITH GOOD LINES EXCEPT THE
LOWER LINE ON DOOR TO BACK TIRE LOOKS A LITTLE OFF. IT HAS LITE
BONDO IN THE LOWER RT FENDER AND SOME IN BACKS OF QUARTERS. BEHIND
QUARTERS AND TRUNK PAN HAS RUST HOLES. FLOORS AMD FRAME ARE NICE.
THE REST OF BODY NOT PATCHED UP AND GOOD. I THINK UNDER THE PRIMER
IS THE ORIGINAL LIGHT BLUE PAINT. I WOULD'VE LIKED TO SEEN IT
BEFORE PRIMING. TRIM AROUND WINDOWS REALLY STRAIGHT BUT DENT GRILLE
AND TRUNK TRIM. BUMPERS NEED REPLACED OR CHROMED. INSIDE- HAS A
GOOD DASH PAD AND NEW CARPET. DOOR PANELS SHOW AGE AND SEATS WITH
ONLY THE DRIVER SEAT TORN. NEW OLD STOCK HEADLINER DOES WITH CAR
AND SAIL PANELS. HAS NICE CONSOLE. AM RADIO BUZZES AND NOT HOOKED
TO ANTENNA. AGS GAUGE, TAC, SPEEDO, OIL PRESSURE AND TEMP WORK
ALONG WITH HORN HEADLIGHT, BRAKE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGS. I COULD NOT
GET TAIL LIGHTS TO WORK. MIGHT BE SWITCH. MANIFOLD GUAGE NOT
WORKING NOR THE HEATER FAN. SOME AC PARTS ARE IN TRUNK BUT NO
COMPRESSOR. ALL GLASS IS NICE HAVING A NEWER WINDSHIELD. WINDOWS
AND DOORS WORK WELL. REALLY GOOD CAR TO DRIVE AS IS. READY FOR THE
ROAD MINUS TAIL LIGHTS. FIX UP AS YOU DRIVE. SHIPPING. WE CAN SHIP
