concours-quality restoration, 4.0 liter V12 producing 300 bhp,
5-speed manual gearbox, Pininfarina coachwork, Matching numbers,
Recent engine rebuild by marque specialist, Aftermarket air
conditioning, Documented by Massini. According
to respected historian Marcel Massini, this desirable 330 GT 2+2
single headlight Series II was originally supplied new in Italy
through Renato Nocentini's Garage La Rotunda based in Prato, near
Florence and one of the earliest agencies for Enzo Ferrari's
products dating back to the 1950s. Its first owner took delivery of
the car its delivery/build being dated to May 1966. By
1975, it had migrated to these shores and was the property of
Michael Kern of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Its next owner was Scott
Merriman of Ohio who acquired the car in the early 1980s. From
there it changed hands once more to a Wisconsin based collector,
before arriving with its next collector owner. While in
this ownership the car was restored, the work being carried to a
very high standard and with a fine eye for the details. This work
is well documented with accompanying file receipts, this alone an
eye watering inch thick binder of records-receipts. The
result is exceptional, the 330's paintwork beautifully finished in
a rich Black exterior and interior appointed in with new red
leather a combination that is both understated and classic along
with its more desirable Borrani wire wheels. In addition, this 330
GT 2+2 has been modernized to include air conditioning as well as
an Ipod connection through its Becker Europa stereo. Upon
completion of this rebuild the 330 was showcased at the world
renown Palm Beach Cavallino Classic as well as its sister event at
the Mar-a-Lago Classic Sports Sunday the following day. The 330
garnered much praise at each event, particularly the latter where
it received 1st place in the 250/330/365 GT Class. Since, this 330
has been maintained by noted west coast specialists Dugan
Enterprises, with specific attention to the brakes, ignition and
carburetion. More recently and while in its most recent
ownership, this 330 was entrusted to Dan Mooney's Team CJ, Austin,
Texas where it received complete and gearbox rebuild, brake system
overhaul and custom trunk mounted electric air conditioning system.
Having recently taken this 330 GT 2 +2 on trade from its Texas
based collector ownership and towards another automobile from
Autosport Designs inventory, we are proud to offer it for sale. As
a result of its recent restoration work, this is Ferrari is
presented in superb and ready to use condition and equally suitable
for the concours circuit should the next owner desire. The
Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 comes complete with large history file, factory
tool roll, Jack kit and spare wheel.
