Be Bold! Be Unique! Stand out in a crowd! 1953 Kaiser-Frazer Henry
J! Fuel your dreams!
The 1953 Kaiser-Frazer Henry J was a pioneering American compact
car, introduced in September 1950 and produced through 1954. Named
after company chairman Henry J. Kaiser. Innovative compact design
made the Kaiser the perfect car for Hot Rodders and custom car
builders. The light body and short wheel base made it the prime
choice for a V8!
Running a Chevy V8 with a nice performance cam "rumble" the Henry J
grabs lots of attention. The 350 has a performer intake manifold
matched to a classic Holley 4150, and HEI distributor. Keep cool
under any driving condition with a Griffin aluminum radiator. Ram
horn manifolds, 2.5" exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers gives an
aggressive sound. This Henry J has a surprise, electric exhaust
cut-outs! The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 9"
rear end gives solid reliable driving.
The Henry J is built to cruise in comfort and style with a Mustang
II independent front suspension, tubular "A" arms, power steering,
power brakes and yes front disc brakes. Even has coil over
adjustable front shocks. You can adjust the ride height.
The interior is stunning! The red makes the Henry J just pop! All
done in correct styling for a '53. Start with low back bucket seats
and a clean dash. The Auto Meter set has speedometer, oil, water,
and volts. Two rocker switches for left and right electric
cut-outs. A retro style two-piece windshield. Safety first has seat
belts and tinted glass. Fully detailed trunk to match the red
interior. The Lokar floor shifter gives that manual look.
The lines and curves of Henry J are brought out by a deep glass
black paint. The wraparound bumps, Henry J scrip badges and a
rocket inspired hood ornament make for one distinct custom. The
Henry J makes a statement...classic hotrod cool!
