The Chevrolet SSR was based on a concept car introduced at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show. It was produced from model year 2004 through 2006. Designed around the Chevy Trailblazer EXT platform, the SSR was a unique hybrid pickup with retro styling and muscle car performance. This 2004 SSR LS is a low mileage example with lonely 16,000 miles.

Smoking Asphalt Finish with a Folding Hardtop-

The Smokin' Asphalt finish is accented by factory GM 19x8" front and 20x10" rear alloys fitted with Goodyear Eagle performance radials. Features include a power-retractable vertical stacking hardtop and sport mirrors. The cargo bed is fitted with a removable hard tonneau cover, 2-piece liner, rear spoiler and optional Cargo Compartment Trim package that adds integrated wood trim boards, cargo netting, crossbar and hold-downs. Life inside is quite luxurious with an Ebony leather upholstery and amenities such as adjustable power heated seats with memory, air conditioning, leather tilt wheel and analog gauges. Powerful 5.3L Vortec-

Under the hood lies a Corvette-inspired aluminum 5.3L Vortec V-8 mated to a four-speed OD automatic gearbox. This package drives a 12-bolt rear axle with a Torsen posi-traction differential, 3.73:1 gearing and traction control. For impressive handling, the SSR features lowered independent front suspension, five-link rear suspension, gas shocks and front and rear stabilizer bars. Stopping power comes from four-wheel ABS 12" ventilated disc brakes.
