Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is excited to digitally present
this 1973 Chevrolet Corvette blends iconic styling with modern
performance and drivability. Finished in stunning Lunar Blue
Metallic over a Black interior, this Corvette offers the classic
presence of America's sports car while benefiting from carefully
selected upgrades throughout.
Power comes from a formidable 454 cubic-inch Big Block V8, paired
with the legendary Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher" 4-speed manual
transmission, delivering the unmistakable torque and sound that
made big-block Corvettes legendary. Power is transferred through a
Dana 36 C4 independent rear differential with a 3.45:1 gear ratio,
providing strong acceleration while maintaining comfortable
cruising capability.
Performance and handling have been significantly enhanced with an
upgraded suspension and steering system. The front suspension
features SPC and Global West control arms combined with QA1
coil-over shocks with adjustable damping, offering improved
cornering, ride quality, and tunability. A Borgeson steering
conversion delivers a more precise steering feel, while a Wilwood
Hydro-Boost braking system with upgraded front calipers provides
modern stopping power and confidence.
Additional drivetrain enhancements include a Tilton hydraulic
clutch system with a McLeod hydraulic throwout bearing, ensuring
smooth and reliable clutch engagement. An OBX stainless steel
exhaust system gives the big-block V8 a deep, aggressive exhaust
note.
Designed for both performance and comfort, this Corvette is
equipped with Vintage Air air conditioning, making it enjoyable in
any season. Cooling is handled by a 4-core aluminum radiator with
dual electric cooling fans, helping maintain consistent operating
temperatures even in demanding conditions.
