MECHANICAL
Power comes from the factory 390ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual
transmission. The engine bay retains a factory-style appearance
featuring the original intake, exhaust configuration, and ignition
system. The car starts easily, runs strong, and delivers the
unmistakable feel of a late-1960s Mercury muscle convertible.
CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION
This Caliente is equipped with a 3.00:1 rear axle ratio along with
factory power steering for comfortable cruising. Manual drum brakes
are fitted front and rear. Chrome factory rally wheels wrapped in
raised-letter tires complement the period-correct appearance.
EXTERIOR
Finished in correct black with a matching black convertible top,
the car presents with excellent overall presence while maintaining
an honest driver-quality character. Original emblems and brightwork
remain in place throughout. The finish shows some minor blemishes
and touch-ups consistent with a well-maintained, enjoyed classic
rather than a concours restoration.
INTERIOR
The cabin features its factory-style red bench seat interior,
creating a striking contrast against the black exterior. The
interior maintains a clean, original-style appearance that
complements the car's authentic presentation.
