The International Scout was built by International harvester from
1960 through 1980 as a competitor to the Jeep initially and then
the Blazer, Bronco and Grand Wagoneer. It was a tough off-roader
and is still coveted today amongst off-roaders and collectors.
International Harvester, although a tractor company was no stranger
to the automotive market by the time the Scout came out, in fact in
1907 they built there first truck and by the late 1950's were
building civilian people haulers or what they called the Travel
All. This particular Scout in the last year received a full engine
out rebuild amongst other things at the cost of $25,000. The body
and chassis have not been restored and has rust throughout. The
Scout starts, runs and goes down the road like a Scout. It does
have a nice soft-top with no hard-top. Brakes and tires are good,
LED headlights and newer sound system. We welcome any questions and
inpsections here in our Traverse City location.
