This Monte Carlo NASCAR is a fine example of bygone days when stock
cars looked like stock cars. The #11 Budweiser Chevy Monte Carlo
campaigned by Daryll Waltrip in the Winston Cup Series from 1984
through 1986. Waltrip's car won a total of 16 races and established
Budweiser as a renowned sponsor of NASCAR Cup racing.
Authentic Budweiser Graphics-
The all-steel Monte Carlo body has composite front and rear facias
and is clad in authentic livery from the historic Budweiser Monte
Carlo. Goodyear racing tires are mounted on 15" chrome NASCAR
wheels and the interior is equipped with a racing seat, race gauges
with tach, Lexan windows, full roll cage and a fire suppression
system.
Powered by Chevy 358ci Small-block-
A 358ci Chevy V8 that is believed to be a GM Goodwrench Target
crate-engine is under the hood for display purposes. While
currently non-running, it was once driven and used for promotional
purposes before entering a collection as a display piece. It is
equipped with aluminum heads, aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor,
MSD ignition and full tube headers to a side exhaust system. The
small-block is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox.
Custom Chassis-
The chassis is believed to be a product of the legendary Banjo
Mathews Performance Center that was driven by Neil Bonnett. It is
fitted with 4-wheel disc brakes, tubular control arms and a rear
trailing arm suspension. This classic NASCAR racecar is being sold
with a Bill of Sale only.
