This custom 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 was modified by Throtl of
San Diego in the early 2020s and is powered by a turbocharged
3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine modified with a Protomotive
turbocharger kit and intercooler. The engine is paired with a
five-speed manual transaxle, with power sent to all four wheels
through the Carrera 4 drivetrain. A replacement turbocharger and
boost controller were installed in 2025. Additional engine-related
work included dyno-tuning, an ECU upgrade, repair of the knock
sensor harness, installation of Bosch Double Fire ignition coils
and a distributor block-off plug, replacement of the fuel pump and
relay, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors, spark plugs and
battery, as well as resealing the front crankcase and replacing the
timing cover gaskets. A custom exhaust system was installed during
the build, and the clutch and flywheel were replaced in 2023.
Suspension modifications consist of Silvers Neomax adjustable
coilovers, an RSR-style two-piece strut bar, Rennline RS-style
spring plates and replacement front sway bar links installed in
2025. Stopping is handled by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with
ABS. The car rides on custom 18-inch Braid multi-piece wheels with
Anthracite-finished centers and polished barrels wrapped in
staggered Falken Azenis tires. Originally finished in Linen Gray
Metallic, the car was repainted in Light Blue Metallic and modified
with wide bodywork, including bolt-on fender flares, side skirts
and Turbo-style bumper covers. Exterior features include a 993 Club
Sport-style rear wing with carbon-fiber end plates, 9Eleven
headlights, LED taillights, clear front turn-signal lenses, front
brake ducts, ventilated rear quarter acrylic windows, Porsche
graphics, a Euro-style front license plate, sunroof, Turbo 3.6
badging and a single exhaust outlet. The cabin was stripped of its
sound-deadening material and fitted with Sparco fixed-back bucket
seats trimmed in black fabric with multi-point harnesses.
Additional interior features include a bolt-in roll bar, Rennline
RS-style carpet kit, drilled Rennline floorboards, Turbo-style sill
covers, Alcantara-covered dash, short shifter with a balsa wood
shift knob, Pioneer CD stereo, Kicker speakers and custom RS-style
door panels. A Carbontastic steering wheel fronts VDO gauges fitted
with Rennline aluminum bezels. Additional instrumentation includes
boost and air/fuel ratio gauges. 19,826 miles (title reads exempt).
