Finished in metallic silver over linen grey interior with contrasting piping, this example presents very nicely both inside and out. Well maintained and garage kept, major service in 2023 just 5,000 miles ago included a timing belt and water pump (and more). We've always felt the S4 is the sweet spot for the 928 lineup - thanks to a redesigned 5.0 liter V8 with dual overhead camshafts and a higher compression ratio, the S4 made a whopping 86 more horsepower than the 928S. And an S4 is considerably more affordable than a 928GTS.

Interior remains in very good original condition with soft and supple leather seating surfaces, a crack-free dash and steering wheel, nice carpets, door panels and headliner, and of course all lights, switches and gauges are working as they should. A Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB head unit offers the look of a classic 1980s cassette stereo but with modern Bluetooth, USB and aux input functionality.

Under the hood is a four-cam five-liter V8 rated a 320 horsepower; it's mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Major service in 2023 at 63k miles included a timing belt and water pump, engine and transmission mounts, partial engine reseal, power steering hoses, front and rear brake pads, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, and a refurbished fan control module.
