You are looking at a super solid 1947 Special Deluxe Ford Convertible that is almost restored. I purchased this car at least 30 or more years ago. The man I got it from said his Dad bought it at a Police auction in Charlotte North Carolina in the early 50's. He said it had been confiscated by the Police for running Moonshine. He said that he started restoring it and decided he was getting to old and needed to sell it. That is when I purchased it 30 or more years ago. I sold it several years ago and was trying to get the restoration completed for him and this is as far as we got with it. He has ask for me to resell it for him. It is a rust free car. It has a new professional paint job and has new leather interior all except for the door panels which have not been made yet. These photos were taken in the body shop where it has been worked on. That is why it is so dusty. It needs carpet and a convertible top. It has the original Flathead with Edelbrock Aluminum Heads. The headlights have been frenched in. The odometer is showing a little over 23000 miles and from all appearances, we believe it could be the original miles. You can own the piece of history for only $25,000 which I feel is very realistic for a classic vehicle like this one with the potential that this vehicle has.
