Zoom Classic Cars presents this all original 1956 Cadillac Coupe
Deville Series 62. Original Arizona Survivor Car. Few automobiles
symbolize the optimism, luxury, and styling excess of 1950s America
quite like the 1956 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. As one of Cadillac's
most prestigious and recognizable models, the Coupe DeVille
represented the pinnacle of General Motors design and engineering,
featuring dramatic tailfins, gleaming chrome, and the pillarless
hardtop styling that would define the era. Offered here is an
exceptionally original, three-owner Arizona Cadillac Series 62
Coupe DeVille. The current owner acquired the car in 1997 and has
driven it sparingly, adding only approximately 1,000 miles during
nearly three decades of ownership. Always garage-kept, this
Cadillac remains a highly original survivor that can be enjoyed
today as a driver-quality classic or taken to the next level
through cosmetic refurbishment or full restoration. Power comes
from its original 365 cubic-inch V8 producing 285 horsepower,
paired with Cadillac's renowned 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic
transmission. The only notable mechanical modification is the
addition of an electric fuel pump in place of the original
mechanical unit. Recently tuned in 2026, the car starts reliably,
runs exceptionally well, and remains mechanically sound. Finished
in its original Goddess Gold paint, the body appears remarkably
solid with very good panel fit throughout. Minor dents, scrapes,
and areas of surface rust are present, consistent with an
unrestored vehicle of this age. All exterior trim, chrome, and
badging remain intact and present exceptionally well. Distinctive
styling features include Cadillac's refreshed gold-finished grille,
prominent front bumper guards ("Dagmars"), integrated backup
lights, and the graceful tailfin treatment that helped establish
Cadillac as America's luxury leader. The spacious interior is
trimmed in white leather and cloth and retains many original
features. Standard luxury equipment includes power steering, power
brakes, power windows, power seat, and a fold-down rear armrest.
The driver's seat upholstery requires replacement, while the
remainder of the interior presents as an excellent candidate for
preservation or refurbishment. Underneath, the Cadillac retains its
robust X-frame chassis and rides on a 129-inch wheelbase,
delivering the smooth, effortless ride for which these cars are
famous. The undercarriage is clean overall with typical surface
rust. The massive trunk compartment houses the spare tire and
provides abundant storage. The car rides on older wide whitewall
tires mounted on steel wheels with factory Cadillac wheel covers in
very good condition. Items Needing Attention:* Driver's seat
requires reupholstery.* Autronic Eye automatic headlight dimmer
operates intermittently.* Original alcohol-based air conditioning
system is currently inoperative and may require servicing.*
Windshield wipers function intermittently.* Individual power window
switches can be inconsistent, although all windows operate from the
driver's master control.* Power radio antenna is inoperative; a
replacement unit accompanies the car.* Factory radio is not
currently functioning.* Horn has an electrical short within the
steering wheel assembly. All other electrical systems, including
the power seat, are reported to function properly. Included with
the sale are the original bill of sale, Cadillac shop manual, and a
clean Massachusetts title in the owner's name. An increasingly rare
opportunity to acquire a highly original 1956 Cadillac Coupe
DeVille survivor. Whether preserved and enjoyed as-is or restored
to show-quality standards, this iconic Cadillac represents one of
the most recognizable luxury automobiles of the 1950s. Call Jeff
today to schedule a viewing of this classic Cadillac Coupe DeVille.
