Built to turn heads, shred tires, and leave a lasting impression,
this stunning 1937 Ford Coupe combines timeless hot rod styling
with modern LS performance and high-end craftsmanship. It is a
Downs fiberglass body riding on a custom Downs chassis. This coupe
was built with attention to detail from top to bottom and is
finished in gorgeous Magnetic Red Pearl that absolutely glows in
the sunlight.
Under the front-opening hood sits a fuel-injected LS1 backed by a
polished Magnuson intercooled supercharger and polished CVF pulley
system. The combination is said to conservatively produce 500
horsepower at the rear wheels, delivering neck-snapping
acceleration and an unmistakable supercharger whine every time you
crack the throttle. The powerplant is paired with a 4L60E automatic
transmission controlled by a Lokar floor shifter and sends power to
a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end equipped with 3.55 gears and Posi
Traction.
The custom chassis was built to handle the power with ease and
features a 4-link rear suspension, coilovers on all four corners,
tubular control arms, and rack-and-pinion steering. Bringing
everything to a stop are Wilwood power disc brakes at all four
corners with polished calipers, stainless brake lines, and power
assist.
The interior is every bit as impressive as the drivetrain. Tea's
Design custom leather seats anchor a beautifully finished leather
interior that flows throughout the cabin. A custom wraparound dash
houses Dakota Digital VFD gauges while Vintage Air with billet
controls and defrost keeps the cabin comfortable year-round.
Additional features include power windows with remote control for
the driver's side, a power trunk with remote access, Phipps pedals,
custom Phipps door handles, and a one-piece windshield with dual
wipers.
Additional details include a Hagan fuel filler molded seamlessly
into the rear fender, stainless fuel tank and fuel lines, and a
stainless Flowmaster exhaust system that gives this blown
LS-powered coupe the aggressive sound it deserves.
This is the kind of hot rod that checks every box-show-quality
appearance, modern reliability, serious horsepower, and a stance
that demands attention. Whether you're looking for a trophy-winning
showpiece, a weekend cruiser, or a street rod capable of
embarrassing modern muscle, this 1937 Ford Coupe delivers on every
level.
