1965 Volkswagen Beetle The Volkswagen 'Beetle' is one of the most
recognizable cars ever built. The Beetle's simple mechanical design
made it inexpensive to maintain and relatively easy for owners to
repair themselves. The Beetle became a symbol of practicality and
the 1960's counterculture.
Restored to Original-
This carefully restored 1965 Volkswagen is a nice example of one of
the most popular cars of all time. The Beetle received a
professional re-spray in red that is in good condition. All chrome
and stainless pieces are excellent. Accents include chrome bumpers
with guards and 15" Volkswagen wheels with factory hubcaps. The
interior has been refreshed and the new Creme vinyl upholstery is
classic VW. Carpets, dash, headliner - all in outstanding
condition. An original 'All-Transistor' radio sits comfortably in
the dash. True, there is no air conditioning, power seats or power
locks - but the pop-out rear windows are very cool.
1300cc Power-
The Beetle is powered by a 1300cc flat-four and the 4-speed
fully-synchronized transmission shifts smoothly. The factory 6-volt
electrics have been converted to 12-volts The solid undercarriage
is fitted with manual steering and 4-wheel manual drum brakes that
perform well.
This classic "Bug" is going to be a lot of fun for someone.
