Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is excited to digitally present
this 1960 Triumph TR3A that represents the pure, analog driving
experience that defined classic British roadsters of the era.
Finished in striking Silver Blue Metallic over a black vinyl
interior, this TR3A combines timeless styling with engaging
mechanical simplicity and an unmistakable vintage character.
Power comes from a 1991cc inline 4-cylinder engine paired with a
4-speed manual transmission operated through a traditional floor
shifter. The car retains its factory rear axle configuration along
with upper and lower control arms up front and a rigid rear axle
with semi-elliptic leaf springs in the rear, delivering the
authentic driving dynamics enthusiasts expect from a period-correct
Triumph.
Braking duties are handled by front disc brakes and rear drum
brakes, while the 15-inch wheels are fitted with 165/HR15 tires and
classic knock-off hubs. Included with the vehicle are the original
knock-off hammer and hand engine crank, adding to the car's
originality and collector appeal.
The cockpit features bucket seats, front seatbelts, a 5-digit
odometer, and the unique side door pull cable assemblies
characteristic of early Triumph roadsters. Additional equipment
includes a manual convertible top, side skirts for the top, rear
luggage rack, tonneau cover, rear boot cover, and a black vinyl
soft top.
An original coachworks metal tag remains in place, further
supporting the vehicle's vintage authenticity. A red kill switch
has also been installed for added safety and convenience.
This 1960 Triumph TR3A presents as a well-equipped example of one
of Britain's most iconic sports cars-offering classic open-air
motoring, unmistakable styling, and the raw driving engagement that
made the TR series legendary.
