Built to intimidate and engineered to perform, this 1966 Dodge
Coronet is a no-expense-spared Pro Street machine that combines
show-quality presentation with earth-shaking HEMI power. Finished
in stunning Viper Red and sitting on Billet Specialties wheels
wrapped in massive Mickey Thompson rubber, this Coronet has the
stance, sound, and presence to stop people in their tracks. Fully
restored from the ground up and loaded with premium components
throughout, this is the type of build that would cost substantially
more to duplicate today than its asking price.
Under the hood sits a professionally built 572ci HEMI V8 producing
over 900 horsepower and approximately 800 lb-ft of torque on pump
gas. Built around a Mopar Performance Mega Block and dyno-tested by
Muscle Motors in Lansing, Michigan, the engine features CNC-ported
Indy Cylinder Heads, a forged Callies crankshaft, Wiseco pistons,
H-beam rods, custom Comp Cams roller camshaft, roller valvetrain,
and an Induction Solutions-prepared 1090 CFM King Demon carburetor.
Supporting components include MSD ignition, polished valve covers,
aluminum radiator, CSI electric water pump, Be Cool cooling system,
Milodon oiling upgrades, and countless details that make this one
of the cleanest engine bays you'll find on a serious street
machine.
Power is sent through a heavily upgraded Coan Racing-built 727
Torqueflite automatic transmission featuring performance internals,
deep aluminum pan, transmission shield, and high-stall converter.
Out back, a Strange Engineering Dana 60 rear axle with a spool and
4.10 Richmond gears puts the power to the pavement. This drivetrain
was purpose-built to handle everything the massive HEMI can throw
at it.
The chassis is equally impressive. A Magnumforce tubular front
K-member, Aldan adjustable coilovers, Eibach springs, Flaming River
rack-and-pinion steering, Strange ladder bars, and adjustable rear
suspension provide modern handling characteristics while
maintaining the aggressive Pro Street stance. Wilwood four-wheel
disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors offer serious stopping
power to match the car's performance potential. The undercarriage
is exceptionally clean and detailed, showcasing the level of
craftsmanship invested throughout the build.
Inside, the Coronet has been transformed into a race-inspired
cockpit. High-back bucket seats with five-point harnesses, a full
roll cage, custom dash panel, Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra-Lite
gauges, Flaming River tilt steering column, and Cheetah shifter
create a purpose-built environment that perfectly suits the car's
personality. Dynamat insulation, fresh carpeting, updated trim, and
a professionally installed
Painless wiring system ensure the interior is as refined as it is
functional.
Open the trunk and you'll find the same attention to detail, with a
beautifully finished compartment housing a custom aluminum fuel
cell and performance fuel delivery system. Like the engine bay and
undercarriage, the trunk area reflects the level of planning and
execution that separates this Coronet from ordinary builds.
Whether you're looking for a serious showpiece, a weekend street
machine, or a drag strip bruiser capable of low-10-second and
potentially high-9-second quarter-mile passes, this 1966 Dodge
Coronet delivers on every front. With over 900 horsepower, iconic
Mopar styling, and a build sheet filled with some of the best names
in the industry, this is a professionally built HEMI-powered
monster that offers performance, presence, and pedigree in equal
measure.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing,
and/or $240 documentation fees.
