The "Monospecchio" Legacy & Rarity
When Ferrari unveiled the Testarossa, Pininfarina's dramatic styling-defined by side intake strakes, ultra-wide rear bodywork, and pop-up headlights-instantly became an 1980s automotive icon. Early production models from 1985 and 1986 feature the signature "Monospecchio" (Flying Mirror): a single, aerodynamically elevated rearview mirror mounted midway up the driver's side A-pillar.

Because the single-mirror layout was replaced by standard dual lower mirrors midway through 1986, the Monospecchio remains the most sought-after and collectible road-going Testarossa variation among collectors and purists today.
