This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a professionally built Pro-Touring
restomod that combines timeless muscle car styling with modern
engineering, exceptional road manners, and exhilarating
performance. Built around Ford's highly sought-after Gen 2 5.0L
Coyote V8 platform, this Mach 1 delivers the power, reliability,
and drivability enthusiasts demand while preserving the
unmistakable presence of one of Ford's most iconic body styles.
Under the hood sits a Gen 2 Coyote powerplant equipped with a Ford
Performance Boss 302 alternator kit and paired to a 6-speed
automatic transmission. The combination provides instant throttle
response, modern fuel-injected reliability, and effortless cruising
capability, making this Mustang equally at home on long highway
drives or spirited backroad adventures.
The foundation of this build centers around a premium Detroit Speed
suspension package. Up front, the Aluma-Frame front suspension
dramatically improves steering feel, suspension geometry, and
overall chassis performance. The rear suspension has been upgraded
with Detroit Speed's Quadra Link system, delivering outstanding
traction and stability while maintaining a comfortable ride.
Additional Detroit Speed upgrades include a tuned steering rack,
subframe connectors, modular engine mounts, and torque box
reinforcement kit, creating a highly refined driving experience
that rivals many modern performance cars. Baer four-wheel disc
brakes provide confident stopping power to match the vehicle's
performance capabilities.
Inside, the cabin has been thoughtfully redesigned to blend classic
styling with modern comfort and convenience. A Vintage Air climate
control system keeps occupants comfortable in any season, while a
Bluetooth-compatible audio system provides modern connectivity. The
Dakota Digital gauge cluster offers accurate instrumentation with a
clean contemporary appearance. A Flaming River tilt steering column
and Momo steering wheel place the driver firmly in control, while a
custom center console and shaved rear seat area complete the custom
interior aesthetic.
The exterior maintains the aggressive styling that made the Mach 1
famous while incorporating carefully selected modern enhancements.
A Mach 1 appearance package, Restomodit headlights, and front and
rear spoilers create an unmistakable presence. The stance is
completed by a set of Boze wheels wrapped in Continental
ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires, providing both visual impact and
exceptional grip.
This Mustang represents the ultimate fusion of vintage muscle car
styling and modern performance technology. With premium Detroit
Speed suspension components, Coyote V8 power, modern creature
comforts, and attention to detail throughout, this 1970 Mach 1 is a
turnkey Pro-Touring machine built to be driven, enjoyed, and
admired.
