Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this stunning all-steel
1935 Ford 5-window Coupe. If you're looking for a truly well-built
streetrod that's a pleasure to drive, you are going to love this
'35! This frame-off restoration starts with a boxed original
chassis and a Mustang II front end, all painted black. The steel
body has been graced with a high-quality two-tone paint job in
black and silver metallic that looks fantastic in the light. The
view from the front includes a bright windshield surround and hood
spine, swan-neck chrome side mirrors, a vented bi-fold butterfly
hood, a tall chrome grille with V-8 emblem at the top (and a
removable bug screen), swooping fenders with large bullet-style
headlamp buckets with bright trim rings, and a chrome bumper - all
combining for a timeless classic look. Moving around to the side,
the flowing body lines and aggressive stance come into view.
Running boards with rubber mats tie together the curvaceous
fenders, and chrome trim accentuates the hood's sporty side
louvers. This Ford sits atop a set of 15" 5-spoke American Racing
wheels with staggered BF Goodrich tires (225-front, 275-rear) that
give the car a forward-leaning streetrod rake. At the rear, you'll
find a third brake light in the rear window, a trunk with a chrome
handle, trumpet-style taillight stands with integrated gas fill on
the left side, another chrome bumper, and a set of chrome exhaust
tips. The overall look of the car can be summed up as classic,
sophisticated, and muscular - it's gonna turn heads wherever it
goes!
Lift the hood panels and stand them on the provided props to
completely reveal the meticulously clean and organized engine
compartment. At the center is a 350ci small-block Chevy V-8 with a
mild cam (per the most recent owner) that's topped off with a
chrome Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum valve
covers, and a chrome oval air cleaner. Bright components continue
with the alternator, AC compressor, starter, radiator hose, and
power steering reservoir cap. Up front is an aluminum radiator with
dual electric pusher fans and a polished overflow bottle. Other
highlights include braided lines, an MSD Blaster ignition coil, and
headers that lead back to a true dual exhaust. The V-8 is mated up
to a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the
rear wheels. Stopping power is provided by power 4-wheel disc
brakes with black Wilwood calipers up front. Modern suspension,
brakes, and steering all come together to make this '35 Ford an
awesome driver out on the road.
As you might expect from the quality level of the car thus far, the
interior certainly received equal attention. Open the door, and
working under-dash courtesy lights illuminate an interior dressed
in taupe vinyl with a timeless look that will never go out of style
- and it's loaded with modern creature comforts! The molded door
panels are wrapped in taupe vinyl, and they feature padded brushed
aluminum armrests, chrome door handles, power window controls, and
storage pockets. The same soft taupe vinyl continues on to the
pillars, headliner, kick panels, rear package tray, and the
comfortable bench seat with color-matched seatbelts. Contrasting
the taupe are black painted window surrounds and dash. Down on the
floor is light tan/taupe carpet that's kept nice with a custom-made
double-wide matching carpeted floormat with a taupe vinyl border -
a classy touch. Rising up from black leather boots at the floor are
a tall chrome Lokar shifter and an emergency brake lever.
Chrome-trimmed gas and brake pedals add to the look down low. The
driver is treated to a banjo-wire steering wheel with a working
horn on a chrome tilt column. The glossy black dash ahead is home
to a set of vintage-looking Autometer gauges, including volts, oil,
120mph speedometer, water, and fuel. The odometer reads 6,353 miles
and it seems likely that's the mileage since the build was done.
Under the dash to the drivers left are knobs that control the
single 1-speed windshield wiper and the electric radiator fans, to
the right is an Autometer tachometer. In the center of the dash is
the control unit for the Vintage Air system that cranks out cold
A/C and hot heat with a strong fan. Flanking the HVAC controls are
the ignition and the pull-knob for the lights. Ahead of the
passenger is a finished glovebox and an under-dash mounted Pioneer
AM/FM/CD/Aux stereo with remote that plays through MB Quart
speakers in the kick panels and on the rear package tray. Behind
the seat you'll find a third brake light mounted to the rear window
sill as well as a crank for the rear window that glides up and down
with ease. Around back is a finished trunk that's dressed in the
same vinyl and carpet as the interior. In the trunk is a car cover
in a storage bag and a fire extinguisher.
When it comes to '35 Ford Coupes there are a lot of dated
restorations and fiberglass recreations out there, but very few
all-steel cars with complete restorations done in a timeless
fashion with premium parts and modern conveniences like this one!
You certainly couldn't build this car again for what we're asking
for it! This is a classic that you can hop in, turn the key, and
just plain enjoy right from day one! Give our friendly staff a call
today and make this beauty your own!
