1968 Chrysler New Yorker 2-Dr Hardtop For Sale Original 440i 350hp
4bbl Factory Triple Black (BB1) with 27,000 actual miles MINT
Condition! The nicest weve ever seen! SPECIAL SPECIAL SPECIAL! This
is likely the most beautiful 60s Chrysler New Yorker in existence.
These cars are very rare in this condition to begin with. Back in
68 and certainly today. A total of 48,314 New Yorkers were produced
in 1968. Only 8,060 were New Yorker 2-door Coupes. That is far less
than an Olds 98 (15300), a Buick Electra 225 (11200) and a Pontiac
Bonneville (29600) of the same 2-door body style. The New Yorker
was Chryslers flagship since the Imperial was now under its own
brand. The New Yorker was the highest priced luxury car of its
class as well. At this time, the Cadillac and the Imperial were in
their own league with a starting price of $5700. This 27,200 mile,
57 year old classic luxury coupe has been extremely well kept and
actually looks as good today as it did the day it left the factory
and in some areas, even better! This factory triple black (BB1)
classic is quite possibly the nicest youve ever seen and the Rarest
especially with this color option. Paint is top notch and
absolutely beautiful throughout! The shine is so bright that it was
difficult to photo because of the reflection. The chrome bumpers
are virtually flawless. The trim pieces are like new including the
huge chrome pieces between the wheel wells. All chrome and trim are
original. The interior is without question, as good as new and all
original except for the seating. They are actually too perfect even
for a 27200 mile car. This New Yorker came factory equipped with a
center console and vacuum gauge. Other features include Climate
Control air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power
seats, AM radio with dual speakers and power antenna. An under-dash
FM converter from the early 70s was installed back in the day.
Power steering and power brakes were standard. Chryslers famous
in-dash coin holder / ashtray as well as the equally popular Cold
light are in tact and working as intended. The highlight of this
interior is the interior itself; quite possibly the nicest in
existence in a New Yorker. The engine is its original 440ci
4-barrel with 350hp, Chryslers best 3-speed Torqueflight automatic
transmission with dual exhaust. All lighting inside and out have
been upgraded to digital LEDs for added brightness. Tires have been
upgraded from 14 to 15 and the Magnum 500 wheels look amazing. The
trunk is immaculate and comes with its original jack and a 15 spare
to match the existing tires. The undercarriage is untouched and
completely rust free. This a very rare car especially in this
condition. The mileage is actual and is clearly stated on its Sept
2015 Ohio title when it reported just 22,124 miles. Located in
