1993 Mercedes-Benz E500 6.0 AMG, S/N WDB1240361C090317, W124, Brilliant Silver with royal blue interior. Legendary Mercedes M119 DOHC 6.0 liter V8 with automatic transmission. These rare halo cars were a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and ultimately AMG who added the final touch that made these 6.0 liter cars so special and sought-after. This E500 was deliver new to Germany at the end of December 1993 and within a couple weeks, #90317 was delivered to AMG in Affalterbach to get the 6.0 M119 upgrade. The production numbers are vague and even more so for “non 957 code” cars but seems like less than 300 total W124 6.0 cars were made in any configuration. After a couple decades of enjoyment in Germany, someone with a lot of time and money restored #90317 about 10 years ago. The work was guided by W124 master Bernard Marijanovic in Germany and we have thousands of pictures of the restoration where nothing was left untouched. Complete disassembly of the entire car and rebuilt with OEM MB parts and renewed, refreshed or rebuilt all systems and components. Complete engine rebuild, drivetrain, suspension, bodywork, engine bay, chassis, wiring harness, interior, trunk and more. During the restoration, special updates were integrated into the build making it even more bespoke. I am told in German restoration fashion, the odometer was set back to 0 and now shows only ~3,200 kilometers since completion. So, not an unrestored all original E500 6.0 or E60 957 car that appeases the pundits but a completely restored 6.0 AMG that is perfect for a show-car driver…it is angry, eager and terribly fast and feels like new…tight, sound and dialed in. Get it? Comes with restoration receipts, thousands of photos, buildsheet and books. Not for sale in CA.
