A HOMAGE to Chevy's Legend ZL1 COPO. This is an ALL NEW BUILD under
20 miles.
What is a ZL1 COPO? Chevrolet's Central Office Production Order
(COPO). The 1969 Camaro ZL1 is the rarest factory big-block Camaro,
built with a race-bred all-aluminum 427 V8 and produced in only 69
units. An American muscle car that was a street-legal, race-ready
powerhouse designed for Can-Am racing. The COPO's are easy to spot
thanks to the cowl-induction hood. Highly prized among collectors,
with documented, numbers-matching examples selling for $700,000 to
over $1 million at auction.
This is a 1969 Camaro ZL1 COPO TRIBUTE. This is an ALL-NEW build
with under 20 miles. The build started with a rust-free Camaro. The
body was completely taken apart all gaps were custom detailed and
contoured so gaped to a high level of excellence. Front end sub
frame was removed and powder coated and completely rebuilt. Up
graded sway bar for cornering. A new steering box with Performance
Quick Ratio gives a great feel that's very tight. The power
steering makes driving a breeze. All new TA radials and Rally
wheels are the correct style for '69. The Camaro drives straight
and true down the road. Note all factory decals and build marks
have been reproduced exactly as original.
Motor is a 454 +30 over 400 to 425 hp balanced and blue printed.
Matched to a TH400 with HD Stage 1 shift kit and Chevy 12 bolt with
a 33.1 POSI. NEW dual exhaust system gives a deep rumble. This is
all NEW needs to be broken in for 500 plus miles. The Camaro needs
broken in correctly that's important!
Painted Cortez Silver is stunning. The black interior is NEW and
comes from GM. The gauges work as they should. This is the correct
interior style that would have been offered in the '69 ZL1
COPO.
Looking for that top level build? This is your car every detail has
been done. You certainly don't often see a '69 Camaros powered by a
454 V8 at local car shows.
