Zoom Classic Cars represents this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Door
Sedan. Few automobiles represent the spirit of 1950s America better
than the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Celebrated for its distinctive
tailfins, sweeping side trim, and unmistakable styling, the '57
Chevy has become one of the most recognizable and collectible
American cars ever built. As the final year of Chevrolet's
legendary "Tri-Five" era (1955-1957), the Bel Air remains a
favorite among collectors and enthusiasts thanks to its timeless
looks, strong aftermarket support, and excellent drivability.
Offered here is a beautifully restored 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
4-Door Sedan that has been owned by its current owner since 2007.
The car had been subject to a frame-up restoration prior to
purchase. Car was originally equipped with a 283CI V8 and now power
comes from a Chevrolet 350 cubic-inch crate V8 that was installed
in 2011 by the current owner when the odometer showed approximately
59,000 miles. Since installation, the car has been driven roughly
9,000 miles. The engine is paired with a durable Turbo 400
automatic transmission and a 1979 Camaro Z28 Positraction rear
axle, providing excellent performance and highway manners. During
current ownership, numerous mechanical improvements have been
completed including a new master cylinder, brake booster, new disc
brakes, fuel tank, carburetor, fuel pump, distributor, ignition
wires, and custom chrome valve covers. Seat belts have also been
added for improved safety. Finished in striking 1988 Corvette Blue
and White, the paint presents very well and retains a deep shine
throughout. Only a few minor imperfections, including some minor
bubbling, are present, consistent with a well-maintained restored
vehicle. The body panels appear solid, fit nicely, and the doors,
hood, and trunk align well. All chrome, stainless trim, gold Bel
Air badging, and exterior brightwork remain intact and present in
excellent condition. The blue and white cloth bench seat interior
complements the exterior beautifully and remains in excellent
overall condition. The painted dashboard matches the exterior color
scheme and houses a full gauge cluster with factory clock. The
headliner is clean and well-preserved, contributing to the car's
inviting and period-correct appearance. The trunk compartment is
very clean and includes the full-size spare tire and original jack
equipment. Underneath, the car presents with a very clean
undercarriage that reflects the care it has received over the
years. The Bel Air rides on BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires mounted on
chrome Cragar wheels that were installed approximately 5,000 miles
ago and remain in very good condition. On the road, the car starts
easily, runs strong, shifts smoothly, and delivers the comfortable
cruising experience that made these Chevrolets famous. The car
combines classic Tri-Five styling with tasteful mechanical
upgrades. Some items that require attention include:* Fuel gauge is
currently not reading accurately.* Minor seepage noted from the
radiator and power steering system.* Passenger-side door could
benefit from adjustment and/or replacement weather stripping.*
Minor rust is visible on the passenger-side threshold area, likely
caused by water intrusion at some point in the past. The threshold
appears solid overall and is shown in the accompanying photographs.
Included with the sale is the vehicle's original 283CI engine,
providing added value and flexibility for future ownership. Stored
in Massachusetts and offered with a clean title in the owner's name
and a 1957 Year of Manufacture license plate that can be officially
transferred to a potential MA Buyer. This attractive and
well-sorted Bel Air represents an excellent opportunity to own one
of the most iconic American classics ever produced. Whether you're
looking for a weekend cruiser, local show car, or a nostalgic
family classic, this '57 Chevrolet is ready to be enjoyed. Call
