1961 Chevrolet Impala Convertible - Jewel Blue Resto-Mod - Ridetech
Suspension - 350 V8 - Wilwood Brakes
This beautiful 1961 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is an exceptional
example of one of Chevrolet's most iconic full-size convertibles.
Finished in its original and highly attractive Jewel Blue exterior
with a Blue and White vinyl interior, this Impala has the classic
early-'60s styling everyone loves, combined with tasteful modern
resto-mod upgrades that make it a truly excellent driving car.
According to the trim tag, this Impala was built as a Jewel Blue V8
Convertible with Blue vinyl interior. It was produced during the
4th week of April 1961 at the Janesville, Wisconsin assembly plant.
Factory options included power windows, tinted windshield, padded
dash, and a power convertible top, making this a well-optioned and
desirable example from new.
During its restoration, the car was upgraded with a complete
Ridetech coilover suspension system, including a coilover
independent front suspension, upgraded rear springs and components,
a 1 1/4-inch front anti-roll bar, and a 1-inch rear anti-roll bar.
It also features an upgraded power steering box, giving this
classic Impala a much more confident and refined feel on the
road.
Power comes from an upgraded 350 small-block Chevrolet V8 equipped
with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4-barrel carburetor, paired
with an upgraded Turbo 350 automatic transmission and a 3.08 rear
end. Stopping power has also been significantly improved with
Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes, making this car drive every bit
as good as it looks.
The exterior presents beautifully in Jewel Blue, complemented by
the fresh Blue and White interior and a new White power convertible
top. The color combination is absolutely stunning and perfectly
suited to the sleek, low-slung lines of the 1961 Impala
Convertible.
This is a rare and legendary Chevrolet convertible that blends
original-style presentation with smart performance and handling
upgrades. With its beautiful factory-correct colors, desirable
options, V8 power, modern suspension, Wilwood brakes, and excellent
road manners, this 1961 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is a very
special car ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed.
