Determined to redefine its lineup for a new era, Ferrari approached
the development of the 360 with a clean slate, reimagining both
design and engineering at the turn of the millennium. Gone were the
pop-up headlights and signature side strakes of earlier models,
replaced by a sleek, aerodynamic form that generated up to four
times more downforce than the outgoing F355. Built entirely from
aluminum-a first for a Ferrari production road car-the 360
benefited from a 28-percent reduction in weight and an impressive
40-percent increase in chassis rigidity.
Unveiled a year after the 360 Modena in 2000, the 360 Spider was
immediately praised by the automotive press for its remarkably
minimal compromises compared to its Modena berlinetta counterpart.
Weighing just 120 pounds more and sacrificing a mere three mph of
top speed, the Spider retained the full 400-horsepower output of
its 3.6-liter V8, with the added pleasure of experiencing its
shrieking exhaust note from the open cockpit.
While Ferrari's F1 automatic transmissions were in vogue at the
time, this example was delivered new with the rare and highly
desirable gated six-speed manual transmission, by Ferrari of New
England, Massachusetts, in January 2002. First registered in New
Hampshire, this Nero Black 360 Spider with electrically operated
Beige leather Daytona-style seats benefits from a thoroughly
documented maintenance history, supported by the accompanying clean
CARFAX Vehicle History Report and its stamped service book.
Regularly maintained in Florida, first by The Collection in Coral
Gables and later by Prestige Imports Miami, it has in recent years
been serviced by The Wyler Collection in Dublin, Ohio, including a
major service with timing belts replacement at 18,205 miles, with a
subsequent service completed at 18,334 miles.
With just 18,404 miles on the odometer at cataloging, this Ferrari
360 Spider benefits from a recent service performed in April 2026
by Ferrari Philadelphia at a cost of nearly $23,000, including
annual maintenance with complete fluid replacement, headlights
replacement, and replacement of the fuel pump and rollover valves.
It is accompanied by its tool kit and factory manuals in Schedoni
leather, tire inflator, and fitted car cover.
