Introduced at the 1989 International Motor Show in Frankfurt,
Germany, the Corniche III represented the final evolution of
Rolls-Royce's long-running convertible, combining traditional
craftsmanship with subtle modern refinements. Hand-built at Crewe
and produced in limited numbers, the model retained the timeless
proportions and stately presence that had defined the Corniche
lineage since the early 1970s, while incorporating updated
technology and improved driving refinement befitting the marque's
flagship open motorcar.
Powered by Rolls-Royce's renowned 6.75-liter V8 engine paired with
a smooth automatic transmission, the Corniche III delivers
effortless touring capability with the serene driving character
expected of the marque. Increasingly sought after for their
exclusivity, elegant styling, and exceptional build quality,
late-production Corniche models are among the finest open grand
touring automobiles of their era.
Finished in two-tone silver and Royal Blue with clear lacquer over
a beautifully appointed interior trimmed in Parchment hide with
Dark Blue piping, this 1991 Rolls-Royce Corniche III presents with
a particularly elegant and understated specification. A Dark Blue
Everflex convertible top, matching top boot, and rich burl walnut
veneers adorning the dashboard, door tops, and center console
further complement the sophisticated color palette.
According to its accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report, the
Corniche resided in Ohio from at least 2001 through 2019,
suggesting long-term enthusiast ownership and careful stewardship.
In 2019, the car entered The Casa Bella Macchina Collection,
showing just 15,318 miles, a figure consistent with its beautiful
presentation today with just over 16,000 original miles at
cataloging and is accompanied by its toolkit, bulb kit, and jack,
in addition to its books.
