Introduced for 2007, the Ducati 1098 Superbike marked a new
inflection point in Ducati's superbike evolution, blending
MotoGP-derived technology with the marque's hard-earned World
Superbike pedigree. Developed under the philosophy of "engineered
by the stopwatch," the 1098S was conceived with uncompromising
focus on lap-time performance, combining dramatic weight reduction
with a ferociously powerful 1,099-cc Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin
engine producing 160 horsepower. At launch, Ducati proudly
proclaimed it the most powerful twin-cylinder production motorcycle
in history.
Distinguished from the standard 1098 by its premium specification,
the "S" featured race-bred hlins suspension, lightweight forged
Marchesini wheels, carbon-fiber trim, and Ducati Data Analyzer
telemetry equipment as standard. The result was a motorcycle of
exceptional agility, braking precision, and rider feedback, aided
further by Brembo Monobloc calipers derived directly from
contemporary racing technology. Equally striking in appearance, the
1098S successfully fused Ducati's unmistakable design language with
pure racetrack intent, earning widespread acclaim and multiple
"Motorcycle of the Year" honors from leading European
publications.
Finished in uncommon Yellow, the color's debut shade for the 1098S
in 2007, this example of Ducati's MotoGP-derived Superbike features
10,366 miles at the time of cataloging. Its condition is
commensurate with its mileage and it is furnished with a clean
CARFAX Vehicle History Report, its set of road tools, and a Pit
Bull rear stand. Rare is the opportunity to acquire an attractive
example of one of Ducati finest Superbikes of the mid-2000s. In May
2026, the Ducati visited Richlin Imports for a service that
includes a clutch and brake fluid flush, fresh fuel, and a new
battery to return this superbike to operational condition in
advance of Broad Arrow's inaugural 2026 Quail Auction.
