This authentic 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 retains its complete
factory original matching-numbers drivetrain and was restored to
high show quality standards. It was certified by Camaro expert
Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance in January of 2023. The
Certificate of Authenticity is included. This example is one of
only 20,302 produced. As the original VIN Tag and Trim Tag indicate
it was built in Norwood, Ohio on the 3rd week of November. It left
the factory with a Fathom Green with white stripes (Paint Code 57)
exterior, black vinyl top (Color Code B) and black custom deluxe
interior (Trim Code 712). Fathom Green made up roughly 10% of total
production that translates to roughly 2,000 units. This was an
extremely original car prior to the show quality restoration that
was completed in 2022. No expense was spared bringing this car back
to its glory days. Everything was restored or replaced new during
the refurbishment process including all the tinted glass. The body
is very straight with excellent panel fitment throughout. It's
equipped with a special ducted hood (RPO ZL2). It was refinished in
its factory original color of Fathom Green with white stripes. The
paint was recently detailed to a mirror-like finish. It was
outfitted with a new white vinyl top (Color Code E) to compliment
the white stripes. The 15" Rally wheels are mounted to Goodyear
Wide Tread F70-15 tires. The cabin was upholstered with a new
Houndstooth deluxe interior to compliment the exterior color
scheme. Some interior features include a factory 8,000-rpm
tachometer, AM-FM stereo, tilt steering column with Rosewood
steering wheel and console. A set of new correct-style rubber floor
mats were recently added. The correctly refinished trunk
compartment houses the spare tire and jack tools. The car is
powered by the factory original-matching numbers DZ302 V8 engine
that was factory rated with 290HP. The engine was completely
rebuilt and runs excellent. Some of the correct engine bay parts
include #4053 carburetor, #837 alternator, #9025 power brake
booster and smog equipment. It's cooled by the correct UH-coded
radiator. It breathes through a correct pair of exhaust manifolds
with dual exhaust system. The engine is coupled to the factory
original-matching numbers Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission
with correct #403 bellhousing. The transmission was completely
rebuilt and shifts smoothly. The power is transferred to the
original factory matching-numbers 12-bolt Positraction rear end
(Rear Axle Code BU) with 3.73:1 gear ratio. It's equipped with the
factory quick-ratio power steering. The highly detailed engine
compartment and undercarriage were decorated with chalk markings,
stampings and tags. This example checks many boxes for the first
generation Camaro enthusiast or collector. This vehicle has been
completely serviced and detailed which is documented with an
invoice that's included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
