1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 2-Door Hardtop Rare and beautifully
presented 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 finished in its desirable
two-tone Dark Ivy Green and Light Green color combination, believed
to represent of just a hsndfull of 1969 XR-7 production. This
Cougar was repainted approximately 5 years ago and features the
optional white padded vinyl top. The dark green leather interior is
in excellent condition with bucket seats, floor-shift console, seat
belts, clean headliner, and the XR-7 gauge package including
tachometer and analog gauges. The AM/FM radio and Clock work .
Manual windows operate smoothly. Powered by its original factory
351 Windsor V8 paired with the original 3-speed automatic
transmission, this Cougar runs and drives very well. The engine
recently received a major reniuld and tune-up, and the transmission
shifts solidly with a working passing gear. Factory power steering
works properly, and the power disc brake system has been updated
with a new booster, master cylinder, hoses, and related components.
factory air conditioning car The hidden headlight/grille mechanism
functions very well. The car currently rides on 14-inch ET Mag
wheels with nearly new radial tires. Chrome and stainless trim are
in excellent condition. The car has always been stored indoors and
shows no visible rust or rust bubbles since the repaint. It has
been shown and judged at multiple Cougar events with excellent
ratings. Included with the car are the build sheet and original
Protect-O-Plate from Texas. Mileage was represented to me as
original, and I was told the car had three previous owners, with
