The 1948 Ford Custom Deluxe was one of the last pre-1950s Ford
models before a major redesign arrived in 1949. The Custom Deluxe
was positioned above the base Deluxe trim and this Custom Deluxe
sedan is a great example of a vintage Ford.
Careful Full Restoration-
This Custom Deluxe received a restoration and has been well cared
for since. The exterior received a re-paint in Burgundy that
presents nicely. All the chrome and stainless trim is good
condition. It rides on 15" steel rims with trim rings and hubcaps.
The interior features seats and door cards reupholstered in period
correct grey tweed cloth and vinyl. The art deco stock dash has
auxiliary under dash gauges and the factory AM radio. It is fronted
by a very distinguished classic wheel.
Powered by 239ci Flathead-
The Ford is powered by 239ci flathead V8 with dual exhaust mated to
a three-speed manual transmission and differential. The electrical
system has been converted to 12-volts. The brakes are 4-wheel
hydraulic drums.
This Custom Deluxe Sedan is a beautiful piece of Ford history that
belongs in your Blue Oval garage.
