This car has been thoroughly enjoyed and meticulously maintained by previous long-term owner and it shows. Very mechanically sound with recent updates but still retains an overall original look which makes it a wonderful, above average driver-quality collectible. Plenty of potential to take it to the next NCRS level or just enjoy as-is. Factory original 283ci/230hp V8 "CQ-code" engine which has been rebuilt for proper unleaded fuel use along with it's 4-speed manual transmission and 3.70 POSI-rear. Motor was pulled and detailed along with the engine bay, then put back in with all proper components including the correct 3059S Carter WCFB 4bbl carb and shielding. She runs like a top, shifts smoothly and cruises comfortably at any speeds. Exterior retains mostly original lacquer paint which still shows well from 5ft away but it's age becomes more evident upon closer inspection. What appears to be a no-hit body is VERY solid with no signs of any major damage or fiberglass repairs but the paint has scattered crazing and imperfections due to age. All correct original trim is in-tact, windows roll up/down easily with excellent glass and the chrome bumpers are very presentable. Car rides on factory 15" steel wheels wrapped in newer BFG Silvertown whitewall radial tires with correct full hubcaps which are impeccable. This is a factory 2-top car and the original hardtop shows some of the same paint issues as the body but has an excellent white headliner and good glass. A new date-coded white soft top has been recently installed, operates nicely and fits perfectly. Interior contrasts beautifully in red tones throughout and has recently been refreshed with a correct Al Knoch interior kit including the peppered carpet. All gauges, lights, wipers, heater and tach work as they should along with the original WonderBar radio. Trunk area is nice and tidy with correct rubber mat and original spare tire kit still in-tact. A mound of receipts and history go along with the car as well as the original owner's manual, shop guides and corvette books. Here is your chance to get behind the wheel of a classic and collectible Corvette at a fair price, leaving you room to improve or enjoy. She may not perfect but she's perfect for what she is. Far from a trailer queen but a great example of one that can still turn-heads while not breaking the bank or your nerves. Turn-Key ready to be driven and admired, without hesitation of where you decide to park it or what type road conditions you decide to tackle!
