Upon the announcement of the 993-generation of the 911 in 1994, it was clear the company was serious about keeping the model around and relevant. Only built for a few short years before the release of the all-new (and divisive) water-cooled 996, the air-cooled 993 has become one of the most collectible iterations of the 911. In comparison to its predecessor, the 964, the 993 introduced new styling along with increased power from its 3.6L Flat-6. Perhaps more importantly, Porsche introduced a new multi-link rear suspension for improved handling in comfort.

Shortly after the release of the standard Carrera models, the company announced the Carrera 4S in 1995 for the 1996 model year. Pairing the Turbo’s wider bodywork, brakes, and suspension along with an increased output of 282hp due to the introduction of Varioram (which was subsequently introduced to the Carrera). While the 4S was well regarded for its looks and limited production, enthusiasts clamored for a rear wheel drive version. The resulting Carrera S model was announced for 1997 and nicely split the difference between the standard car and the Turbo. Today, these cars are highly desired by investors and enthusiasts alike due to their rarity, drivability, and last-of-their-kind engineering.

The investment-grade 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S Sunroof Coupe featured here is finished in stunning Black Metallic over an impeccably kept Cashmere (beige) leather interior. This exceptional example of the final year of the 993 air-cooled 911 has been meticulously maintained and would be a perfect addition to any premier collection. We are proud to offer this exquisite Porsche 911 Carrera S to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires only the very best an investment price!
