The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG launched the era of modern Mercedes-Benz
super cars as the first model developed exclusively by
Mercedes-Benz in-house tuner AMG. It would debut in 2009 at the
Frankfurt Motor Show, initially in gullwing coupe specification, as
a modern-day homage to the iconic Mercedes 300 SL. Upon its
release, it featured a hand-built 6.2-liter M159 V-8 engine, which
Mercedes claimed at the time was the worlds most powerful naturally
aspirated series-production engine ever made. With its stunning
exterior made mostly of aluminum, the SLS AMG went on to win the
gold Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, the only
vehicle to be presented with this accolade. Mercedes-Benz would
follow in 2011 with the release of the Roadster, which offered a
luxurious, open-top motoring experience to balance its blistering
acceleration and muscular V-8 exhaust note. Following in the
footsteps of its 300 SL Roadster predecessor, it featured
conventional doors and incorporated additional chassis
strengthening to compensate for the absence of a fixed roof. The GT
version introduced in 2013 would continue to be sold through 2014,
including a mid-cycle refresh dubbed the GT, which increased output
to 583 horsepowerup 20 horsepower from the initial launchalong with
revised gear ratios for an even more engaging driving experience.
Also added as standard equipment high gloss carbon fiber console
covering, black air vents, red accented carpets, a carbon fiber
grill and grill surround, side accents, hood accents, and Bang &
Olufsen, 1000-watt sound system. Only a total of 350 coupes and

Iridium Silver, with red piped Black leather interior. Serviced by
Mercedes Benz of Sarasota June 2026 include oil pressure control

ownership. With less than 21,000 miles, this SLS AMG GT Roadster
has seen extremely minimal use. Well-specified, rare, and offering
a level of performance and luxury that rival even the latest
supercars, this low-mileage SLS AMG is sure to be a most welcome
acquisition for marque enthusiasts or anyone seeking a supercar as
rewarding to drive on-circuit as it is every day or over long
distances.
