'78 CORVETTE COUPE This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette shows just 9,308
ORIGINAL MILES!!! And remains remarkably original throughout,
retaining its factory Red-on-Red color combination. The trim tag
confirms paint code 72L and interior trim code 722. To preserve its
appearance, the car received one documented professional repaint in
its original factory color. The finish presents exceptionally, in
fact, this is the nicest body and paint (everything) we've ever
seen on a late 70's era Corvette. From its remarkably smooth body
and paint, to the outstanding shine, and rich depth. The car truly
embodies a time capsule Corvette. Power comes from the optional
L-82 350 cubic-inch V8 featuring a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel
carburetor, hydraulic camshaft, four-bolt main block, dual-snorkel
air cleaner, and dual exhaust system with stainless tips. Power is
sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic
automatic transmission. Factory equipment includes a fiberglass
body, removable T-top roof panels, four-wheel independent
suspension, four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, leather
bucket seats, iconic 70's carpeted interior, full instrumentation
package, quartz clock, tilt steering wheel, dual sport mirrors,
hidden windshield wipers, rear storage compartment, courtesy
lighting, power windows, and air conditioning. Additional features
include an aftermarket AM/FM radio with a retro appearance,
red-striped aluminum wheels, and raised white-letter radial tires
measuring 255/60R15 at all four corners. Finished in one of the
most recognizable color combinations available for 1978. We've
owned hundreds of C3 Corvettes over the years, and this is honestly
the cleanest and overall prettiest 1978 we've had through our
doors. It runs and drives exceptionally well, and the overall
presentation is astonishing. The repaint was clearly applied by an
expert or a wizard ;-) Looking at the car in person, you'd be
hard-pressed to believe it has much more than a few hundred miles.
