Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 1969 Lincoln
Continental Mark III two-door coupe for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. The Lincoln Continental Mark III was introduced for the
1969 model year as Ford Motor Company's flagship personal luxury
coupe. Conceived under Ford executive Lee Iacocca to compete
directly with the Cadillac Eldorado, the Mark III revived Lincoln's
legendary "Mark" series and became one of the defining American
luxury coupes of the late 1960s. This Lincoln is also a two-time
national trophy winner.
Exterior:
The car is finished in Medium Lime Metallic with its original black
vinyl roof. It received a high-end repaint within the last 10
years, giving the body a deep, elegant finish while preserving the
classic Lincoln presentation. Chrome trim adorns the grille, rocker
panels, bumpers, window surrounds, and wheel arches. Additional
exterior features include a retractable antenna, faux spare-tire
rear decklid hump, and quad headlights with vacuum-operated covers.
The long hood, formal roofline, hidden headlights, and signature
rear decklid styling give the Mark III unmistakable late-1960s
personal luxury presence.
Interior:
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats and a rear bench
trimmed in dark green leather, complemented by woodgrain trim on
the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels. Additional
appointments include power windows, power door locks, cold air
conditioning, and a push-button AM/FM stereo. A signature two-spoke
woodgrain steering wheel with padded vinyl and a center horn pad
frames a 120-mph speedometer, Cartier clock, and gauges for oil
pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The
five-digit odometer shows 83,873 miles.
Engine:
Power comes from a 460ci V8 equipped with a four-barrel carburetor
and factory rated at 365 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. An oil
change was performed in preparation for the sale. The 460 V8
delivers the smooth, effortless power expected from Lincoln's
flagship luxury coupe.
Transmission:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic
transmission, providing the relaxed and refined driving character
these Mark III coupes are known for.
Wheels and Tires:
The Lincoln rides on 15" Continental wire wheels mounted to Cooper
Trendsetter SE 205/75R15 whitewall tires. The wire wheels and
whitewalls complement the car's formal styling and complete its
classic luxury look.
Brakes:
Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc brakes and
rear drums.
Steering:
The car is equipped with power steering, making this full-size
personal luxury coupe smooth and easy to drive.
