Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 1969 Lincoln
Continental Mark III two-door coupe for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. The 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III is a flagship
personal luxury coupe produced by the Lincoln Motor Company
division of Ford. Conceived by Ford executive Lee Iacocca to
compete directly with the Cadillac Eldorado, the Mark III was a
massive commercial success that revived the legendary "Mark"
series. The 1969 Mark III was one of the most advanced American
luxury vehicles of its time, featuring technology that was highly
rare for the late 1960s. This Lincoln was a two-time national
trophy winner.
The car is finished in Medium Lime Metallic with the original black
vinyl roof. It had a high end repaint within the last 10 years.
Chrome trim adorns the grille, rocker panels, bumpers, window
surrounds, and wheel arches. Additional features include a
retractable antenna, a faux spare-tire rear decklid hump, and quad
headlights with vacuum-operated covers.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats and rear bench
trimmed in dark green leather along with walnut veneer trim on the
steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels. Additional appointments
include power windows and door locks, cold AC, and a push-button
AM/FM stereo. A signature two-spoke walnut grain steering wheel
with padded vinyl and a center horn pad frames a 120-mph
speedometer, a Carier clock, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel
level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer
shows 83,873 miles.
The 460ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was
factory rated at 365 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft of torque. An oil
change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to
the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
The 15" Continental wire wheels are mounted to Cooper Trendsetter
SE 205/75R15 whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power
steering and stopping power is provided by power-assisted disc
brakes up front and drums out back.
