"The Dodge Challenger is a blast from that past, not only because
its whole vibe is inherently old school, but some models are
seriously entertaining. The least expensive way to join the
Challenger's brotherhood of muscle is through the entry level V6
model-the only two door muscle car to offer all wheel drive. Get
behind the wheel of any R/T model to experience the sound and fury
of a Hemi V8, either a 375hp 5.7 liter or a 485hp 6.4 liter." Car
and Driver
For consignment, a 2021 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Wide body
with a title verified 15,064 actual miles. This rear seat delete
muscle car is both handsome and intimidating looking all at the
same time and if you've ever seen one coming up behind you on the
highway, your instinct to move right was the correct one! This one
has been garage kept.
Exterior
This blue beast is a color which Dodge has named Frostbite Metallic
and it's spectacular! A protruding and deep chin spoiler sets the
attitude of the car which is enhanced by the extended fender flares
over monster 305/35ZR20 tires with a mid 2024 date code wrapped
around 20-inch wheels in contrasting black. The fuel filler door,
rear spoiler, and rear valance pick up on the black and the black
panel around the horizontal tail lights brings it all together in a
well coordinated and nicely designed muscle car. Our hood scoop is
flanked by heat extractors so the engine can be seen as a breathing
apparatus as much as one that drinks fuel for energy. Overall, the
body, paint and trim are in excellent condition. Imperfectionsnoted
include a few chips, scuffs, door edge chips, and chin scrapes.
Interior
Robust plastic formed door panels have a black leather inserts with
white stitching. This pattern is borrowed, in part, by the front
bucket seats which have white stitched leather bolsters around
inserts black suede and those colors are repeated in the Scat Pack
logo embroidered on each seat back. The rear seats are absent and
in their place is a cargo net and fitted panels. A meaty rim adorns
the ergonomic steering wheel along with a plethora of thumb
controls leading to a colorful digital instrument cluster now
synonymous with modern Mopar muscle. An information screen is in
the center and the AM/FM/CD radio has navigation, XM capability,
Bluetooth, 8.4 U-connect, and is CarPlay and Android Auto capable.
There's also a reverse camera. In the brushed nickel panel of the
center console sits the radio and A/C controls and now, a Hurst
shifter. Low pile black carpet covers the floor and the formed
headliner and overhead console are in great shape, complete with
handles if the need for holding on arises, and it will. Gray cloth
panels finish the trunk space where spotless conditions are
found.
Drivetrain
It's a clean engine bay where we find the 392ci Hemi V8 rated at an
impressive 485 horsepower. Behind it, a Tremec TR6060 6-speed
manual transmission which routes those ponies back to the limited
slip rear axle with 3.90 gears.
Undercarriage
Clean conditions are found underneath as well where the suspension
configuration of MacPherson Struts in front and coil springs in the
back are augmented with Widebody Competition suspension, and
adaptive damping. Brembo 6-piston front calipers join the 4-wheel
power disc brake system and active exhausts enhance the original
dual exhaust, now with a cat back Flowmaster system.
Drive-Ability
In keeping with the "Scat" theme, these things go like stink! And
there are no surprises with this 6-speed. It's a low mileage modern
muscle car that does everything well and supplies the driver and
occupant with all the amenities you could possibly want and they
all function as expected. While Classic Auto Mall represents that
these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we
cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of
your purchase.
We don't make guarantees with the cars we consign, but if you can't
have fun with this car and its 485 horses under the hood, check
your pulse! Here's a perfectly streetable red light warrior that's
as fun to drive on the highway as it is in quarter mile spurts.
Scat! Scram! Skedaddle! It all means to "leave quickly" and with
this car, you can!
